
New Canaan forecast: Suddenly, temperatures fall
With a temperature swing of about 40 degrees within two days' time, that National Weather's forecast indicates fall has arrived in southwestern Connecticut a week before its official start.
Early-morning temperatures plummted to the mid-40s -- it reached the mid-80s as recently as Wednesday -- and the NWS says the daytime high temperature today will reach only into the mid-60s under sunny skies. There will be a north wind around 11 mph.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 53 degrees.
Tomorrow is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 63 degrees. Nighttime will be party cloudy with a low in the low-50s.
Sunday promises to be mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Overnight, some clouds move in and the temperature again dips into the low-50s.
Monday, the weather service predicts, will be sunny and the high temperature should be in the upper-60s.
