New Canaan forecast: Slightly snowy start to holiday weekend

Periodic snow is possible today, but the National Weather Service early this morning indicates that any accumulations will be slight.
The daytime high temperature, under cloudy skies, in southwestern Connecticut will rise to the upper-30s with a north wind of 9 to 13 mph. Daytime chance of precipitation is 30 percent, according to the NWS.
Tonight, snow showers are also possible as the temperature dips to a low of about 20 degrees. There will be a north wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Tomorrow, scattered light snow is possible before noon. Skies will be partly sunny, with a high temperature about 30 degrees and a blustery northwest wind 18 to 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Tomorrow night will be mostly clear and cold, with a low temperature in the low-teens -- and a wind-chill factor that could make it feel as cold as minus-1 degree.
On Monday, the President's Day holiday, should be sunny with a high temperature in the low-30s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 20 degrees.
There is a chance of after noon Tuesday, as skies turn cloudy and the temperature rises to a high in the low-40s. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. There remains a chance of rain and snow showers at night, with a low temperature about 30 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
The outlook for Wednesday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny and temperatures in the 30s.
