New Canaan forecast: Later showers cloud holiday

There is a slight chance of rain this Columbus Day holiday, with the odds of precipitation increasing tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
Clouds will increase across southwestern Connecticut as today's daytime high temperature rises to the upper-50s. There is a 20 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m., the NWS says.
Tonight, there is a 50 percent chance of showers as cloud cover increases and the temperature dips to the mid-40s.
Tomorrow, there is chance of rain, mainly before 9 a.m. Skies will be cloudy and the high temperature is expected to rise to about 60 degrees. Overnight, there is a slight chance of precipitation, with a low temperature about 50 degrees.
On Wednesday, there is a slight chance of showers, mainly after 3 p.m. Otherwise, skies will be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 65. Showers are also possible at night, mainly before 9 p.m., as skies remain partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-40s.
Thursday should be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-60s. Nighttime should be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-40s.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the low-60s.
