Summer-like temperatures are again expected to envelope southwestern Connecticut this autumn day.

After patchy fog clears from the region this morning, the daytime high temperature is expected to rise to the low-80s, with a west wind 8 to 13 mph in the morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight will be clear with a low temperature in the mid-50s and a west wind 3 to 6 mph.

Tomorrow will be sunny, with a high temperature in the in mid-70s. There is a 20 percent chance of overnight showers and the temperature registers a low of about 60 degrees.

On Friday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers -- and possible thunderstorms -- in the afternoon, the NWS says. Skies are expected to remain cloudy most of the day as the temperature rises to a high of about 80 degrees. Odds of precipitation are high Friday night -- 40 percent -- as the temperature dips to a low of about 60 degrees.

Saturday should be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-70s. Night skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature about 60 degrees.

The outlook for Sunday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the 70s.
