New Canaan forecast: Damp & dreary again

Another damp, dreary day is in today's forecast for southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.
The morning will be foggy and scattered showers are likely throughout the day, with a thunderstorm possible after 1 p.m., as the daytime high temperature rises to the mid-50s with a south wind around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent, the NWS says.
Tonight also brings a chance of showers, mainly before 8 p.m., the NWS says, but skies are expected to clear overnight as the temperature falls to the mid-50s.
Tomorrow is expected to be sunny with a high temperature in the upper-70s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 60 degrees.
On Saturday, there is a chance of showers, mainly after 2 p.m. Otherwise, skies will be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 75 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent, says the NWS. There is a slight chance of showers overnight as the temperature dips to the upper-40s.
Sunday, there is a chance of rain under cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper-50s. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. Rain is also possible Sunday night as the temperature registers a low in the mid-40s.
The outlook for Monday, Columbus Day, is mostly sunny and temperatures in the upper-50s, according to the weather service.
