Hot. Humid. Haze.

This triple-H forecast for southwestern Connecticut today and tomorrow has prompted the National Weather Service to issue an air quality alert.

Despite widespread haze, today will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 87 degrees, the weather service says.

Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 69 degrees.

Tomorrow there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. as haze continues to blanket the region. But the sunny skies will boost the daytime high temperature to the low-90s. The threat of showers and thunderstorms remains in effect tomorrow night, the NWS says.

On Friday, showers and thunderstorms are again possible. Skies will be partly sunny, with a high near 82 degrees. Nighttime will become mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.

The outlook for Saturday is mostly cloudy, with a high near 70 degrees.
