New Canaan forecast: A sunny return to 'summer'
Despite overnight temperatures that tumbled into the 40s across southwestern Connecticut, the National Weather Service predicts a sharp turnaround over the next several days as readings hit the low-80s by Sunday.
Today will be sunny again as the daytime high reaches the upper-60s. Tonight will be clear, but not as chilling as last night as the temperature dips into the low-50s.
The warming trend should take hold tomorrow, the NWS says, with a high temperature of about 75 degrees under sunny skies. Overnight will be clear with a low in the upper-50s.
Sunday is expected to live up to its sunny moniker with bright, clear skies as the temperature crests in the low-80s. Nighttime will be clear with a low of about 60 degrees.
And more pleasant weather is in the outlook for Monday -- Columbus Day -- with a high temperature in the upper-70s.
