New Canaan forecast: A dusting of snow

Early-morning snow flurries are expected to continue falling periodically throughout today in southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.
In addition to snow -- with possible accumulations totalling 1 to 2 inches in the region -- skies should be mostly cloudy and temperatures will reach a daytime high in the upper-30s. There will be a calm wind becoming north around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent, the NWS says.
Tonight, more periods of snow are likely, mainly before 10 p.m. The temperature is expected to dip to the upper-20s, with a north wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation remains about 80 percent.
Tomorrow should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Nighttime will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the upper-20s.
Thursday will be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-40s. Thursday night will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the upper-20s.
Friday also will be mostly sunny, the NWS says, with a high temperature in the low-40s. Nighttime will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature about 30 degrees.
The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny and temperatures in the mid-40s.
