On Saturday, the New Canaan boys track team won the FCIAC East Championship over Darien, Wilton, Fairfield Warde, Bassick and St. Joseph at Wilton High School. The Rams narrowly edged the second place Darien Blue Wave, 147-145.

In the 300-meter, Cameron Armstrong took second place by clocking in at 37.52, Willie Gould took sixth at 39.75 seconds, and Alex Millisits took seventh at 39.86 seconds.

Patrick Daly won the 600-meter by clocking in at 1:27.92, Isaiah Maisonette took fourth at 1:32.44, George Bennett took sixth at 1:34.94, Wesley Rhudy took seventh at 1:36.55, James Arliss took eighth at 1:37.33 and Pat Burke took ninth at 1:37.59.

In the 1,000-meter, Alex Spinu claimed second place with a time of 2:43.03, Henson Orser took fourth with a time of 2:52.08, and William Hoover took seventh place with a time of 3:04.07,

In the 1,600-meter, Brant Hoffman took second place with a time of 4:46.74 and Spinu took fourth with a time of 4:52.11. In the 3,200-meter, Taylor Parsons took ninth place with a time of 10:56.73.

Paul Templeton won the 45-meter hurdles in 7.26 seconds, Grayson Cordes placed second in 7.29 seconds and Devaun Bovell placed fourth in 7.34 seconds.

In the high jump, Nelson Conover took fourth place, and Bovell and Templeton tied for sixth place. In the pole vault, Conover tied for second place and Armstrong came in fourth. In the long jump, Kevin Macari came in fifth place and Alex Millisits came in sixth place. Alexander Farina won shot put and Rami Hamdan placed third.

On Saturday, the New Canaan girls track team took second place in the FCIAC East Championship against Darien, Wilton, Fairfield Warde, Bassick and St. Joseph at Wilton High School. The Rams scored 96.7 points to claim second place but finished well behind Darien's 194 points.

In the 45-meter dash, Eileen Dinnie and Julie Spindel took third and fourth place with times of 6.92 and 6.99 seconds, respectively. Melanie Escalante won the 300-meter by clocking in at 44.95 seconds and Alexandra Naughton took ninth place with a time of 51.16 seconds. In the 600-meter, Escalante took fourth place with a time of 1:48.37 and Elizabeth Gordon came in sixth place with a time of 1:53.24.

Caroline Murray won the 1,000-meter by clocking in at 3:12.30. Murray also took second place in the 1,600-meter with a time of 5:39.65. Stephanie Benko won the 3,200-meter with a time of 12:06.53 and Kelly Saiz claimed fifth with a time of 12:52.84.

In the high jump, Alexis Najarian took fourth place and Jaclyn McCurdy took seventh place. In pole vault, Anna Von Oehsen, Abigail Wasden and Heather Schumacher tied for sixth place. In long jump, Taylor Joyner and Cristina Konstantinovic took fourth and fifth place, respectively. In shot put, Isabelle Herde and Sydney Czech took fifth and eighth place, respectively.
