The New Canaan boys swim team was dealt its first loss of the season, 141-45 at home against Greenwich last Friday, dropping to 1-1 on the season.

New Canaan's lone first place finish came courtesy of Bobby Ross, who won the diving competition. New Canaan's Cameron Rhind took fourth.

The Rams' quartet of Trey Oehmler, Wesley Fales, Stefan Pla and Ed Rudman claimed third place in the 200 medley by clocking in at 1:52.99.

Matt Riley and Charlie Adl took fourth and fifth in the 200 freestyle with times of 2:00.89 and 2:06.05, respectively.

Oehlmler and Weley Fales were fourth and fifth in the 200 IM, finishing in 2:13.43 and 2:13.93, respectively.

The Rams also claimed fourth and fifth in the 50 freestyle as Matt Evans touched the wall in 25.19 seconds and Ed Rudman finished in 25.67 seconds.

Pla claimed third place in the 100 butterfly in 58.43 seconds, and Bhaskar Abhiraman was fifth in 1:02.25.

Evans and Miles Turpin took fourth and fifth in the 100 freestyle in 57.11 and 58.63 seconds, respectively.

Matt Riley narrowly claimed second place for New Canaan in the 500 freestyle, clocking in at 5:25.47, and Tuen van der Loo was fifth in 5:51.37.

New Canaan's 200 freestyle relay team of Adl, Turpin, Evans and Riley took third place with a time of 1:43.78.

Oehlmer finished fourth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:02.44, while Rudman was fifth in 1:07.54.

The Rams managed second and third place finishes in the 100 breaststroke when Pla touched the wall in 1:02.83 and Fales finished in 1:07.88.

The New Canaan quartet of Abhiraman, Riley, Oehmler and Pla also placed third in the 400 freestyle relay.
