New Canaan U12 girls Black soccer team falls in first round of Connecticut Cup against Simsbury
On Saturday, the New Canaan U12 girls Black soccer squad fell 2-1 against Simsbury Tsunami in the first round of the Connecticut Cup at Curtiss Field A.
Jordan Paterson was in goal for the first half and defended the well.
Lauren Canet brought the ball up the field several times but couldn't score.
Belodeau was in goal for the second half of the game. Minutes into the second half, Kaitlyn Moussignac drew. Kloud took the kick and scored for the 1-0 lead.
The New Canaan defense prevented Simsbury from scoring on a free kick and three corner kicks.

Minutes later, Belodeau had a good strong save in goal.
At the referees' discretion, an additional three minutes were added to the end of the game for stoppage time, and Simsbury scored twice for the win.
