After searching throughout the night, Connecticut State Police located the 46-year-old missing woman on Pastures Lane in New Canaan at 8 a.m.

Police said a canine team from the Connecticut State Police located the woman, who was found injured but in stable condition. The patient was treated at the scene for injuries to her wrist and exposure then transported to Norwalk Hospital Emergency Department by New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance for further treatment.

On Thursday afternoon the woman was discovered missing from Silver Hill Hospital, according to a press release from New Canaan Police Sgt. John DiFederico.

Police have not yet released her name.

State Police provided a helicopter and officers used numerous search dogs in the area of Valley Road. Residents were asked to stay inside their homes in order to assist police.

Hospital staff realized the woman was missing at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday. She was last seen walking south on Valley Road, DiFederico said.
