The League of Women Voters invites all League members (and their guests) who are concerned about the current economic situation in Connecticut to its first Legislative Breakfast meeting of 2012, on Wednesday, Jan. 4, in the dining room at Waveny Mansion. The gathering begins at 9:30 a.m. with an informal breakfast and the program begins at 10 p.m.

State Sen. Toni Boucher and State Rep. William Tong will offer their perspectives on the obstacles and challenges our state faces in trying to improve the economic climate for business growth, employment and reliable energy resources. Sen. Boucher and Rep. Tong will also share any initiatives their respective parties are proposing to remedy the state's budget deficits and the economy in the upcoming legislative session of the Connecticut General Assembly.

The presentations will be followed by an open roundtable discussion with informal questions and answers with the attendees. The program is expected to end by 11:30 a.m.
