Nature Center to extend Winter Farmer's Market through March
Due to the popularity of the new Winter Farmer's Market at the New Canaan Nature Center, the market will be extended through the month of March.
The market takes place in the nature center greenhouse on Tuesdays from noon to 3 p.m. and features winter produce, dairy, meat, baked goods and other sundries from a number of Connecticut-based vendors. Vendors include Riverbank Farm, Gazy Brothers Farm, Goatboy Soaps, Butterfield Farm, Smyth's Trinity Farm, Mamacat's Tea, Raus Coffee, Whistle Stop Bakery and Connecticutly Grown Hot Sauce.
The market is a joint partnership between the Nature Center and New Canaan Farmer's Market.
"We are thrilled that the response to the market has been so positive," Laura Heckman, New Canaan Nature Center executive director, said. "Our members and the community are eager to support our local Connecticut producers, and it's been wonderful to welcome additional visitors to the Nature Center on Tuesday afternoons."
