NEW CANAAN — A 54-year-old woman from Waccabuc, N.Y. was charged with drunk driving after she was caught swerving on New Norwalk Road, police said.
On Oct. 8 around 11:45 p.m., an officer saw Tracey Bryggman, of Five Ponds Drive, cross over the double-yellow line and then swerve back into the northbound lane and cross over the white fog line. The officer pulled the New York woman over and smelled alcohol on her breath upon speaking with her. Bryggman failed a subsequent field sobriety test and was taken into custody.
Bryggman was charged with failure to drive right and driving under the influence of alcohol. She refused to submit to a blood alcohol content test and was released after posting a $260 bond. She will appear in court Oct. 18.
