Mom’s guidance leads to bedroom drug bust

Christian Pedersen, 21, of Hampton Lane, New Canaan, was cited for possession of marijuana on the afternoon of Friday, Dec. 4, while police were serving an order of protection against him, according to a police report.
Police went to Pedersen’s home at 1:04 p.m. Friday to serve an order of protection issued in Massachusetts and were told by Pedersen’s mother that he was upstairs in his bedroom.
Police entered Pedersen’s bedroom after knocking on the door and observed in plain view a glass smoking bong, according to the report. Also found in the room was a green metal grinder, and several clear plastic bags containing marijuana residue, according to the report.
Pedersen was issued an infraction for possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
