Middlebury Interactive Languages and Greenwich Academy partner
Middlebury Interactive Languages, an academic leader in world language instruction for K-12 students, announced today that it will host one of its new Summer Day Academies at Greenwich Academy in Greenwich. The two-week programs, offered in French and Spanish, are open to all of the area's middle school students with varying language proficiency levels.
The Middlebury Interactive Languages Summer Day Academy at Greenwich Academy offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to acquire authentic world language skills and knowledge through Middlebury's gold standard immersion methodology and expert curriculum. The MIL Summer Day Academies are designed specifically for middle school students who are seeking to expand their understanding of world cultures and explore the richness of language learning within an immersion environment.
"We are very excited to partner with Greenwich Academy to deliver Middlebury's renowned language instruction to all students in Southwest Connecticut and Westchester County," MIL CEO Jane Swift said. "Gaining a world language is a critical 21st century skill, and our new day academies help students learn in a fun and interactive environment."

The academies, held at Greenwich Academy and three other locations nationally, are designed to work closely with the language department of the participating partner schools.
"Middlebury's reputation as a leader in the field of second language education is unparalleled," Greenwich Academy World Languages Department Chairman Jill Riverain said. "We are thrilled to be facilitating access to language camps for the early language learners in the Fairchester community. As an alumna (and an alum parent as well) of language training at Middlebury, I am especially pleased that this opportunity for cultural immersion in both Spanish and French will be available on the GA campus this summer."
