Marijuana charges in Irwin Park

Three individuals were charged with marijuana possession April 28 at 9:54 p.m.
An officer observed a vehicle drive into Irwin park from Weed Street, park and shut the lights off. When approached, the three people in the car said they were there to smoke a cigarette. After police discussed summoning the K-9 unit, the three individuals revealed they did have marijuana.
Michael J. Dipietro, 21, of Brewster, N.Y., had a plastic bag containing marijuana, rolling papers and a small metal pipe. Dessislava Doytcheva, 19, of Park Street, had a metal grinder with a small amount of marijuana inside. Geoffrey Krist, 19, of Valley Road, had a metal tin and a pack of cigarettes, both of which contained marijuana.

Dipietro and Doytcheva were charged with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Krist was only charged with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana. All the charges are infractions.
