Man steals hygiene items from CVS

Paul S. Northrop, 30, of Danbury was arrested for stealing several items from CVS July 6 at 5:32 p.m.
A female employee observed Northrop placing items in his pockets while in the store. She had also seen him in the store earlier and believed he had taken several items. The employee called the police, who arrived at the store while he was still inside.
After confronting Northrop, police found Axe body spray and Blade deodorant spray in his pockets. They also found dental floss, shampoo and mouthwash in his vehicle outside. Police said the stolen items have a total value of $21.73. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny.

Northrop posted a $250 bond and will appear in court July 18.
