Nicholas Mattioli, 22, of 59 Lancer Lane, Stamford, was arrested March 22 on charges of driving under the influence and operating a vehicle without a license.

Police were dispatched to the Tallmadge Hill train station at 7:30 p.m. after an officer suspected an intoxicated driver had just entered the parking lot, according to the report.

Upon arrival, police found the man urinating next to his 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, police said. Mattioli's eyes were bloodshot, his shirt was untucked and he appeared intoxicated, according to the report.

When asked if he had been driving the Jetta, Mattioli denied it and said his friend, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was the one who drove the vehicle to the parking lot, police said. But when the officer questioned the passenger, the man said it was not true, according to the report. Mattioli then apologized for lying and admitted to driving the car, police said. He said he was nervous and did not have a valid driver's license, according to police.

Mattioli was administered field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said. His blood alcohol content was 0.135, according to the report.

He posted $450 bond and is scheduled to appear in court April 4.
