This past Saturday was a scorcher, but it didn't keep thousands of people from coming downtown to the Chamber of Commerce's 48th annual Village Fair and Sidewalk Sales.

The streets were filled with merchants and vendors while the shoppers sifted through the racks and boxes of bargains. There was plenty of entertainment to go around, from magicians to musicians, and lots of tasty treats to top it off.

Who would have ever thought that you could zipline through downtown New Canaan? Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Karl Chevrolet, riders of all ages enjoyed a bird's-eye view as they zipped down Main Street.
