To the Editor:

Jim Himes (D-Conn) is unhinged and his remarks as reported in the New York Post — “Congressman begs Electoral College voters to block Trump” is both deplorable and harmful to America.

Jim Himes as you remember supported the re-election of Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who stated he was a war hero “when he was in Vietnam” when the senator was geographically in the United States for all of his service. He cannot accept the fact that his presidential candidate who called 50 percent of Americans deplorables and who told a congressional hearing on Benghazi: “What difference does it make” when asked about the deaths of U.S. servicemen and a U.S. ambassador.

Congressman Himes, your presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, told us the terror attack in Benghazi was due to a film when she well knew it was a planned terror attack against a United States embassy. Your presidential candidate as secretary of state ignored the pleas of those stationed at our embassy. Your presidential candidate lied to the FBI, she claimed she did not know that the letter “C” on a document meant classified.

I also question your support of our current governor whose unsustainable budgets has destroyed our state and resulted in major businesses leaving.

So Congressman Himes, your lobbying the Electoral College to vote for Clinton even though you conceded that the Republican won the election “fair and square” is deplorable.

How dare you state to the world that the Republican president-elect: “isn’t qualified to be mayor of a small town in Connecticut” after admitting that he won fair and square.

Paraphrasing your remarks, the question is: Can you imagine what the leaders in Beijing and Moscow and Tehran are thinking as they watch a U.S. Congressman criticize his own president-elect.”

Get over it, America has spoken. America will be Great Again. God Bless America.
