Candy cane treats from Santa Claus, tasty hot pancakes with sausages, and holiday music by New Canaan entertainer Paul Roberts will highlight the New Canaan Kiwanis Club's annual pancake brunch Saturday, Dec. 4, in the common room of the First Presbyterian Church, 278 Oenoke Ridge, from 7 a.m. to noon. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 10-years-old. Tickets for the Pancake Brunch and Holiday Gift Boutique will be available at the door and directly from Kiwanis members.

The event, which has been going on for around 25 years, will feature the return of the Magical Music Mini Singers, and the Holiday Gift Boutique with the addition of Judi Panzano's Silpada Jewelry should add to holiday cheer around town. The snow date is Saturday, Dec. 11. The boutique will feature some handmade crafts as well as various other holiday themed items.

A percentage of the event proceeds will go to The New Canaan YMCA's Special Needs Initiative, a program that provides financial assistance to special needs children attending summer camp.

"We have chosen our donation recipient in keeping with the Kiwanis mission of serving the children of the world and are looking forward to the YMCA's participation in this fun and fulfilling event" Club President Jenny Esposito said. "It's really fantastic. The camaraderie of all the club members and other residents in town make for great kickoff to the holiday season."
