NEW CANAAN — Though inclement weather kept the numbers lower, the annual St. Mark’s Episcopal Church May Fair still sported its tradition of festival fun this weekend.

“It’s all about having a great time with the family,” said Tim Dann, treasurer for the 69th annual fair, which featured carnival rides, games, and an ever-popular White Elephant Sale.

The sale, in fact, still had long lines of people waiting to get in while Saturday’s intermittent rains kept some people away from the fairgrounds.

“It’s kind of dodgy today,” Dann said, “but I think we’ll end up with lots of activity.”

“And the smart carnival-goers will experience no lines,” he said.
