NEW CANAAN — About a thousand cars and a multitude more people filled downtown New Canaan Sunday morning for the return of the Caffeine & Carburetors automotive show.

On hiatus following some concerns from area residents regarding the congestion, the show, which closed Elm and Pine Streets, proved a popular destination for people up and down the east coast.

Attendees enjoyed seeing, photographing and scrutinizing a wide range of autos, from classic old timers to the most modern super sports cars.
