On April 29, friends and supporters of the agency that provides compassionate home health and hospice care to our community gathered at Le Château to celebrate "Hooray for Hollywood" and raised more than $106,000 to benefit the patients of New Canaan's Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County.
The title sponsor for the agency's annual fundraising event was The Wilton Bank.
"We are enormously grateful to Nicki Brown and Charlie Howell and The Wilton Bank for their community spirit and exceptional generosity," agency president and CEO Sharon M. Bradley said. "Their philanthropic leadership serves as an inspiration to the entire community."
Actress Jane Powell was the honorary event chairwoman, and she offered an impassioned sentiment in her opening remarks.
"We all know how important this agency is to our community," Powell said. "Whether you are recovering from an illness, need long-term care or are at the end of life, the caregivers of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County are always there to help."
