Fun and charity intertwined at KiKlo's hair-braiding event
The New Canaan Outback Teen Center benefited from Salon KiKlo's recent hair-braiding Sidewalk Sale event, which drew dozens of girls wanting to have their hair done by the stylists.
All proceeds were donated to the teen center to support its youth programs and community service initiatives.
"It was a really cool thing to do," said Stacey Andrea of Salon KiKlo's project. "So many of the girls saw their friends with braids, wanted to know where they got theirs done, and the word spread. The sidewalk sales were terrific. The Outback Teen Center is such a wonderful organization to donate to,
and we can't wait for next year."
The teen center, 71 Main St., provides a positive and enriching environment where teens are able to relax, socialize and participate in self-directed activities and have the opportunity to contribute to the community.
