Former CBS correspondent speaks to Sr. Men

Krauss is a retired CBS correspondent with 25 years experience, including a stint as a Middle East correspondent based in Cairo covering the Iran-Iraq war.
From Egypt, he traveled widely through the area, including Oman, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Sudan. He was at the scene in October 1981 when Sadat was gunned down by assassins at the Cairo Parade Ground and covered the early years of the Mubarak administration.

Prior to CBS, he worked at Channel 13 in New York, where he anchored the nightly news and interview program, "Newsfront." Since leaving CBS, Krauss has chaired the Ambassador's Roundtable in Stamford, where he and his wife have lived for the past 48 years.
