Copper wire taken from CL&P

A 29-year-old male Connecticut Light & Power employee reported a larceny from the CL&P facility at the corner of Lakeview Avenue and New Norwalk Road May 21 at 7:22 a.m.
The complainant told police he arrived at the station at 6:45 a.m. and noticed old copper wire had been taken from a shipping container. Police said there was a hole cut in the fence on the New Norwalk Road side. The container's lock was also missing. The last time the wire was seen in the yard was May 18 at 5:18 p.m. The value of the wire is $3,000, while the damage to the fence is worth $500.
