Contractor charged with possessing drug paraphernalia
A contract worker was issued a summons after New Canaan police said they found a marijuana grinder in his car Nov. 3.
Officers received a report about "a suspicious person" sitting alone in a white van on Millport Avenue, near East Avenue, just before 1 p.m., police said. When officers arrived, they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle belonging to Stamford-based Reliable Oil & Heat Co., according to the report.
When questioning the operator, he said he pulled over for his "lunch break," the report states.
Police did not find any marijuana in the car, but Ralph E. Tucci, 34, of Phillips Street, Norwalk, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for a marijuana grinder he had in the driver's side door compartment.
