More than $360 worth of backer boards and thin-set mortar was reported stolen from a construction site on Colonial Court June 25, according to New Canaan police.

The 57-year-old complainant, who's an employee of the construction company working at the property, called police at 11:30 a.m. after he arrived at the site and found the items were missing, the report stated. The man told police he had left the home at 4 p.m. the day before.

According to the report, there were 15 backer boards, valued at $150, and eight containers of thin-set mortar, valued at $216.

The case is under investigation.
