Community experts to discuss disaster preparedness with Sr. Men
Lori Kelly, a member of the New Canaan Community Emergency Response Team and volunteer partner to the senior director of Community Preparedness for the Connecticut Chapter of the American Red Cross, will address the Senior Men's Club of New Canaan in Merrill Hall at St. Mark's Church on Friday, March 16, at 10 a.m.
Sponsored by the Connecticut Chapter of the American Red Cross, the presentation will feature "Red Cross Ready -- Three Steps to a Preparedness Program: Get a Kit. Make a Plan. Be informed." Fire safety and prevention, compression-only CPR and the recent Red Cross reorganization will be discussed.

Kelly will be accompanied by three additional experts: Fred Baker, New Canaan's Fire Marshall will address fire-related topics; Nancy Upton, executive director of New Canaan CERT, Red Cross instructor and a volunteer EMT in New Canaan will introduce the compression-only CPR technique; Rodgers Harper, a member of the board of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Red Cross and a local business consultant will describe the Red Cross reorganization.
