This past week, New Canaan High School students had a taste of something different. Chris Ellison, from "Cirque de Jour," a group that primarily teaches circus workshops, showed students at New Canaan High School a number of circus techniques. They were taught juggling, Chinese yoyoing, improv, the use of rhythm sticks and clowning, among other things.

This was the of first of two circus workshops in preparation for the upcoming freshman/sophomore musical "Godspell." The workshops are open to all NCHS students. "Godspell" will be performed Nov. 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.
