Car break-ins hit Talmadge Hill train lot
Three cars and one motorcycle parked in the Talmadge Hill train station lot were broken into June 13, according to police.
At 6:30 a.m., New Canaan police responded to the train lot, where the driver's window of a 2002 Honda CRV was smashed and the glove compartment and center console were rummaged through, the report stated. However, an iPad and change were not taken.
The backseat windows of a 2001 Lexus were also smashed, police said. The glove compartment and center console were found open. Police have not been able to contact the owner of the vehicle, they said.
The trunk of an unlocked 2013 BMW was found open, police said, but nothing was missing from the car.
A 2005 BMW motorcycle was found knocked over and damaged, police said. The ignition had been damaged as if someone had attempted to start the motorcycle, police said. A saddle bag on the bike was found unzipped, police said.
