On Thursday, May 12, six New Canaan homeowners will open their doors to reveal the best in current design as part of the New Canaan CARES Kitchen and Home Tour. While these homes vary in size, style and setting, they share a commitment to unique design and uncompromising quality.
The tour will run from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. and the $50 tickets may be purchased online at www.newcanaancares.org or from local outlets. Patron tickets, beginning at $75, are on sale now and can be purchased online. All patron tickets will be hand delivered and patrons will receive their tickets in advance of general ticket holders. In addition, all patron ticket holders are entered into a drawing to receive a VIP parking pass good at all tour homes.

The ticket guidebook includes a map of the tour and a detailed overview of each home. A tour route is given; however, guests are invited to view the homes in any order. A limited quantity of gourmet boxed lunches, catered by Rosie, will be available for $15 and may be reserved online before May 10. Lunches will be available at the specified boutique and luncheon Tour home, which may be viewed in its entirety and also will feature a boutique of fabulous vendors.
Several other tour homes will allow visitors to view additional living spaces beyond the kitchen. Tour goers will have the opportunity to see the transformation of a stunning classical revival family home set on a prestigious ridge. Custom-designed and built in the late 1980s, this home is being updated for modern living by the team of Gardiner and Larson Homes, Premier Remodeling and Renovations and Kathleen Walsh Interiors. Each home on the tour is a must-see, offering a distinct and interesting experience.
