Bronx man wanted in NJ arrested in New Canaan
NEW CANAAN — Officers arrested a 55-year-old man from the Bronx after he was pulled over for speeding and found to be wanted in New Jersey, police said.
On May 27 around 2:45 p.m., an officer pulled over and searched a car that was speeding on Gerdes Road. The officer spoke with the driver, Allan Wilson, and asked for identification. The New York man presented an ID from Maryland, which the officer determined was fake. The officer also found out Allan was a fugitive in New Jersey and wanted on an extraditable warrant for forgery.
Wilson, of Westchester Avenue, was taken into custody on the warrant for charges of second degree forgery and for being a fugitive from justice. He was held without bond and appeared in court on May 30.
