Bank of New Canaan sponsors Hope Works Job Training

Members of the Norwalk Open Door Shelter (formerly Norwalk Emergency Shelter) Hope Works program celebrated the completion of the first Hope Works Jobs Training Program Friday, Aug. 5, in Norwalk. The Bank of New Canaan is a sponsor of the program, which is designed to help disadvantaged people transition back into the economy and the community.
Hope Works participants go through a nine-month program working on job readiness skills such as computer literacy, interviewing, teamwork and budgeting. The culmination is the 12-week internship program, paid through Hope Works.
