98-year-old woman drives car into embankment near Waveny Park pool
Sarah Finger, a 98-year-old Fairfield resident, got into a car accident Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. near Waveny Park pool.
Police said she was driving her Volkswagon Jetta south on the driveway near the pool when she suddenly turned right, struck a guard rail and went down a wooden embankment. She was not injured but police said she was very confused and could not recall how the accident occurred.
Police issued Finger a warning for failure to drive right and took away her driver's license. Police said she could retrieve her license at the Department of Motor Vehicles pending another driver's test.
