Cops say Bridgeport shooting victims won’t talk
BRIDGEPORT — Police say reluctant victims are keeping them from making more progress investigating a weekend shooting.
Two men treated for gunshot wounds early Saturday at Bridgeport Hospital were suspected of being involved in a shooting near Pembroke and Arctic streets, which had detected by the city’s ShotSpotter system.
The car in which the men arrived at the hospital had bullet holes in it, according to police.
“According to the detective bureau there is no significant additional information regarding this incident due to victims unwillingness to cooperate,” police spokesman Terron Jones said. “The detective bureau continues their investigation.”
The victims — one suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, the other to the knee — were listed in stable condition Saturday afternoon, according to police.
