Rotary welcomes new president

He recognized several club members who had made special contributions over the year and presented a lifetime recognition award to Ad Tomaselli. He also announced that First Selectman Jeb Walker had proclaimed the date to be Adolph Tomaselli Day in New Canaan in honor of Tomaselli's distinguished military service and his lifelong contributions to the community.
In his first act as president, Bilus presented his predecessor with a token of the club's appreciation and made a few remarks regarding his vision for the upcoming year.
He referenced the Rotary motto of "service above self" and noted that as the largest charitable organization in the world, Rotary International presents members with unique service opportunities and the ability to maximize their efforts on a local and international level.
