New Canaan, Darien impress at Class L diving
New Canaan High, Darien High and Wilton High School placed eight divers in the Top 15 finishers at the Class L diving championship at the Middletown High School pool.
Farrin Volpinsta of Immaculate-Bethel Co-op was Class L champion with 521.85 points on 11 dives.
The FCIAC diving contingent was led by New Canaan’s Charlotte Frank (runnerup, 445.20 points). Darien’s Julia Servas (430.30 points) was fourth, Olivia Quinn of New Canaan (388.80) was sixth while Darien’s Lana Schmidt (376.50) was seventh.
Darien’s Emma Hunter (329.90) took 10th followed by Wilton’s Marra Woodring (327.90) and New Canaan’s Ella Olafsson (326.20). Wilton’s Amy Malburg (319.70) was 14th.
In Class S diving Thursday night at Bulkeley High School pool in Hartford, Austynn Lacasse of Bolton High was Class S champioon with 435.20 points on 11 dives.
Weston’s Elisabeth Katz (393.40) was runnerup followed by Tess Penders of East Catholic (366.60), Christian Gleason of Jonathan Law (357.30) and Woodland’s Alyssa VanAlstyne (346).
