Walter Stewart's T-Bill Donation Days to benefit NCHS Scholarship Foundation

Walter Stewart's Marketwill hold its annual NCHS Scholarship T-Bill drive through Saturday April 9. Stewart's customers are invited to donate "T-Bill" balances they earn shopping at the store. Walter Stewart's will match T-Bill balances designated by shoppers with a monetary donation to the New Canaan High School Scholarship fund.
The NCHS Scholarship Foundation is a long-standing community effort to provide financial aid for New Canaan High School graduates pursuing higher education.
The Foundation's annual "Scholarship Sunday" was held Sunday, April 3. This was the day that NCHS students wearing Scholarship Drive T-Shirts knocked on doors throughout New Canaan to raise funds for college scholarships for fellow NCHS students.

"Last year, the Foundation raised over $105,454 from local businesses, residents, service clubs and memorials and awarded 66 need-based scholarship grants," Ann Trinklein said.
During the last 10 years that Walter Stewart's and their shoppers have been participating in the Scholarship Foundation's fundraising efforts, Alex Stewart estimates they have raised more than $25,000 for the fund.
