The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce recently held its annual volunteer awards ceremony in order to recognize the businesses in New Canaan who go the extra mile to give back to the community.

This year's recipients were Keith Simpson, of Keith Simpson Landscape Architects, Anna Krolikowski, of Baskin Robbins, as well as Ron and Tina Rosenfeld, of New Balance.

Simpson received the "Golden Shovel Award" for his many years of volunteer service to the town for green initiatives. Most recently, Simpson can be credited for the efforts to bring the trees back to Forest and Pine Street.

Krolikowski, owner of Baskin Robbins, is a familiar face to most of the residents of New Canaan.

Krolikowski received the Volunteer of the Year award for all the time and effort she puts into helping the many charitable organizations of New Canaan and her role in efforts to revitalize downtown New Canaan.
