WILTON — As you plan your Thanksgiving menu and holiday decorations, look no further than Ambler Farm.
Farmer Jonathan Kirschner is harvesting fresh, organic produce for holiday and seasonal cooking. Look for an email with a list of available produce (always weather-dependent), or contact Kirschner directly at firstname.lastname@example.org for details and orders. Ambler Farm’s produce will also be available at the Village Market in Wilton and Peter’s in Weston for as long as produce is available to harvest.
Ambler Farm will host its Thanksgiving Trebuchet Fun on Thursday, Nov. 23, at noon. Visit the farm for some fresh air and watch the “Pumpkin Warrior” launch pumpkins down the field. No registration required. When visiting, bring nonperishable food and other items for Wilton Social Services. Personal care items are welcome; please check all food items for expiration dates. This year, the Friends of Ambler Farm plan to support the relief effort in Puerto Rico.
Stop by or volunteer for the annual Greens Sale on Dec. 2 and 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Dec. 3 and 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy hot cocoa, cider and treats while chatting with friends and neighbors, and leave with freshly cut greens (trees, wreaths and roping). Santa will visit the farm on Dec. 2 and 3. Order in advance at amblerfarm.org/2017-greens-sale until Nov. 26.
For information, contact Debbie Corrigan at email@example.com. Proceeds will benefit Ambler Farm.
