...STRONG WINDS AND ROUGH SEAS MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY

NIGHT...

.A Pacific storm will bring strong, gusty southwest to west

winds, and rough seas to the Southern California Bight. Winds and

seas will increase Monday night, peak Tuesday morning and subside

Tuesday night.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM MONDAY TO

1 AM PST WEDNESDAY...

* Winds...Southerly 15-20 KT gusting 25-30 KT, occasionally

gusting 30-35 KT between 10 pm Monday and 6 am Tuesday.

Westerly 15-20 KT gusting to 25 KT between 7 am Tuesday and 1

am Wednesday.

* Waves/Seas...5-7 ft Tuesday morning, becoming 8-12 ft Tuesday

afternoon through Tuesday evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots

are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.

Inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller

vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

the coastal waters early Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.

This storm should produce periods of isolated to scattered

thunderstorms. Any thunderstorms that develop will be capable of

producing waterspouts, locally gusty winds and rough seas,

dangerous cloud-to-water lightning and heavy rainfall with reduced

visibility.

Mariners are advised to check the latest weather conditions before

heading out of harbor.
