Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information that helps solve a Dec. 14 home invasion killing in north Harris County.

The victim, James Paul Dillon, was at his apartment in the 300 block of North Vista when three men entered about 10 p.m. carrying long guns and pistols, according to Crime Stoppers of Houston.

The men held the residents at gunpoint and demanded money. Before fleeing with the homeowner's property, one of the men fatally shot Dillon, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff's investigators developed composite drawings of two of the suspects, based on interviews with witnesses.

The first suspect, who was toting a shotgun, is described as being 5-5, in his early 20s, and having an average build. The second suspect, who investigators said kicked down the door, is described as being about 6-2, in his early 20s, and having a skinny build and a gap between his teeth.

Anyone with information the capital murder case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477 (TIPS). A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest or the filing of felony charges. All tipsters will remain anonymous.
