YWL of New Canaan aids Malta House

The Young Women's League of New Canaan members recently donated more than 400 personal care products to the women of Malta House in Norwalk.

Malta House is a nonprofit organization providing food, shelter and support for homeless pregnant women or those who have found themselves in substandard living conditions.

Residents of Malta House participate in educational programs covering issues of health, nutrition, parenting and child development.

During their stay at Malta House, mothers also receive guidance designed to foster a positive self-image for themselves and their children.

Personal finance and budgeting advice is offered to promote self-sufficiency.

On a recent visit to Malta House, YWL members learned that toddler size diapers (3, 4 and 5) and maternity clothes are always needed.
