Caroline DeVito, 19, of 326 Ponus Ridge Road, New Canaan, was arrested Feb. 14 on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to drive right.
Police said DeVito was the driver in a one-car accident on Aug. 3, 2013, on Weed Street. According to the report, DeVito was traveling south on Weed Street when she approached a left curve just south of Knapp Lane and reportedly went off the road hitting a tree. The woman was immediately sent to the hospital due to her injuries, police said.
Police said the road was dry at the time of the accident, but it's not known whether she was wearing a seat belt. Her airbag, however, was deployed, police said.

While responding to the accident, officers found two marijuana pipes and noticed an alcohol odor inside the car, according to the report. Police then applied for a search warrant for her blood test in order to find out if she was intoxicated, police said.
The test came back in October showing DeVito's blood alcohol content was about seven times the legal limit for a person under 21, according to the report. Police said the limit for those younger than 21 is .02.
After learning of a warrant for her arrest, DeVito turned herself in at about 4 p.m. Feb. 14, according to police.
DeVito was released on $260 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 28.
