Village Critter Outfitter, 107 Cherry St., New Canaan, is hosting an environmental education event with the Wolf Conservation Center from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.

The Wolf Conservation Center, founded in 1999 by Helene Grimaud, is a private, not-for-profit environmental education organization in South Salem, N.Y. The WCC's mission is to promote wolf conservation by teaching about wolves, their relationship to the environment and the human role in protecting their future.

"We're happy to host the Wolf Conservation Center and give them a venue to speak about local wolf conservation," said Shirleen Dubuque, owner of Village Critter Outfitter. "If it weren't for great organizations like the Wolf Conservation Center, wolves in this region would not be around for future generations to admire."
