DARIEN — A 45-year-old New Canaan woman’s wallet went missing in the Whole Foods Market on Ledge Road last weekend.

On Feb. 26 around 12 p.m., the woman went to Whole Foods with her son. She had her wallet when she entered the store and used cash from it to pay for her son’s lunch in the store. When she got to the register around 12:40 p.m., after shopping, she realized her wallet was missing.

The woman said the wallet was from Kate Spade and valued around $100. In her wallet were five credit cards, as well as a Connecticut license in the victim’s name.

The woman canceled her cards, but no charges came up between the time they were stolen and the time she canceled them. Police are investigating the incident and following up with the Whole Foods manager to see if there’s surveillance footage of the incident.
